| Sofia sevens a-side 2008
National Sport Academy will once again invite rugby clubs from all of Europe to take part in Sofia 7's ,14’th Edition which will KICK OFF on May 09, 2008. Visiting sides will have this great opportunity to get to know our capital city and its places of interest, and not the least to play in this very unique Balkans' Rugby Festival.
This invitation is for mens, students ,ladies, and old boys teams. The age limit for players in the men‘s tournament is minimum 18 years, for women it is minimum 16 years and for old boys the minimum age is 35. If any want to participate with younger players, you will have to ask for a dispensation before arriving.
We would be very pleased if you would pass this invitation on to other rugby clubs, that could be interested in a rugby tour to Bulgaria.
Tournament form
A maximum of 32 teams can enter the men’s tournament; teams will be put into 8 pools. The games will on Saturday be played on 3 pitches
On the second day the 8 pool winners will play a Cup tournament for the RECTORS CUP. The teams that finished as number 2 and 3 in the pool games, 16 teams in all, will play a Cup tournament for THE PLATE. The teams that that ended as number 4 in the pool games, 8 teams at all, will play a Cup tournament for THE BOWL.
The ladies ,students and old boys Cup will be played both Saturday and Sunday, the final form will be decided later, depending on the numbers of participators in the two groups.
There will be played 3 games per hour on each pitch, i.e., the tournament last from 10,30 AM to 6 PM on Saturday and from 9.30 AM to 3.30 PM on Sunday. We expect to play the 5 finals between 2.30 and 4,00 PM on Sunday.
Match rules
The BSRU committee is the highest authority during the tournament. Matches are played after the normal 7-a-side rules. These rules will be sent to the participating clubs after we have received their entry forms. Players can only play for one team. If a team, due to injuries, is in lack of players, the team will be allowed to use players from other teams, but only from teams who have left the tournament and from the same ranking, it also requires accept from the committee.

| Уважаемые приятели регби,
В качестве руководителя турнира София – 7 приглашаю Вас принять участие в 13-ом международном турнире по регби – 7, который состоится 09 ,10 и11 мая2008 г.
Все участвующие команды смогут познакомиться с нашей столицей, ее достопримечательностями и историческими местами, а также участвовать в турнире, который утвердился к настоящему моменту как единственный на Балканах.
Турнир проведется в зависимости от участвующих команд на трех уровнях :
- Национальные и клубные команды / мужчины и женщины /;
- Студенческие команды / мужчины и женщины / ;
- Юношеские команды.
Всем участвующим командам гарантированы минимум три встречи в день.
Такса за участие в турнире :
- национальных и клубных команд – 300 евро;
- юношеских и студенческих команд – 200 евро.
Для участников предлагаем полный пансион в трехзвездном отеле при цене 25 евро за человека. В цену включены завтрак, обед и ужин; Транспорт из и до Аэропорта Софии, Прогулка на автобусе и осмотр достопримечательностей города, Участие в празднике при открытии и закрытии турнира и получение сувенира каждым участником турнира.
Для студенческих команд может быть организовано размещение в студенческом отеле при цене 13 евро за человека, включая завтрак.
При проявлении интереса с Вашей стороны необходимо заполнить талон для участия и выслать его нам обратно самое позднее до 1 января 2008 г. по факсу или E - mail и заплатить через банк таксу за участие.
